Sufood @ Raffles City (Vegetarian)

Remember how vegetarians / vegans went to places with friends to have 6-7 course meals but can't eat much cause of the limitations? Well, now you can enjoy at Sufood. It's an Italian-inspired Vegetarian Restaurant at Raffles City Shopping Mall, which serves 8 course vegetarian meal (including drinks)!

Just a note, some of their dishes have Garlics, which you can request to not have it added, unless it was pre-mixed into the sauces.

SuFood Appetizer 1: Poached Japanese yuca root drizzled with a blueberry coulis

SuFood Appetizer 2: A stack of oriental, white water snowflake greens

SuFood Appetizer 3: Savoury cherry tomato jelly
The above 3 photos are the starters and there's actually a sequence to eat it, which the staff there will explain to you. The serving size is small, but rest assured, it is definitely filling enough!

Rosemary Breadstick
Next is the Rosemary Breadstick, a must try with the Mustard sauce. Each person only have 2 sticks, so you will still have space for other dishes.

Vinegar Drink
Thirdly, is the Vinegar drink. Wasn't a fan of vinegar drinks, but this really tasted good.

Tropical Fruit Salad
The fourth dish is salad and you can choose from the following: Tropical Fruit Salad, Summer Salad, Mushroom Salad, and Classic Garden Salad.

Root Soup
Now, this is the soup I love best at Sufood! It's the Root Soup! Why? Cause it's a traditional soup, with sliced lotus roots, cashew nuts and ginko nuts. The portion as usual, not too much, just enough to make me crave for more.

They have other soups too: Cabbage and Sweet Potato Stew, Root Soup, Cream of Pumpkin Soup, and Mushroom and Pea Cottage. Tried the Cream of Pumpkin Soup, not bad too.

Conchiglie Mushroom Bake

Conchiglie Mushroom Bake
Finally the main course! Tried the Conchiglie Mushroom Bake and I really like it. But you may find it too savoury when you are 3/4 through it. It is actually curry with seashell pasta, not very spicy and quite filling.

Baked Potato Al Funghi
If you are a sweet potato plus mushroom lover, go for the Baked Potato Al Funghi as your main course. The King Oyster Mushrooms are really very big, I feel sick just by looking at it. There is also quite a fair bit of smashed Sweet Potato, though it only says Baked Potato.

Darren and sis likes the Star Pizza. It's kind of unique, but I don't like the wasabi taste inside. You can also request not to have wasabi course if you are like me. When the pizza came, it was big! And there was like cheese too in between the edge of the pizza!

Main course dishes available: Homemade Vegetable Calzone, Vegetable Pita Pockets, Star Pizza, Baked Potato Al Funghi, Mediterranean Vegetable Skewers, Macaroni Alfredo Casserole, Conchigie Mushroom Bake, Spaghetti Pesto, Wild Mushroom Charcoal Tagliatelle and Porcini Pasta.

Banana Cheesecake
Banana Cheesecake and Mint Herbal Tea
Lastly, the dessert is served with the drink (you can choose to serve the drink first). I had the Banana Cheesecake and the Mint Herbal Tea. The Banana Cheesecake don't see that is just one tiny square, it is definitely enough. The Banana Cheesecake is no longer available. But the mint tea will still make you feel refresh after all the savoury meals.

Red Bean Dessert with Yam Cubes

Dessert comes in Osmanthus Flower Jelly, Sesame Panna Cotta, Vanilla Ice Cream with Hot Chocolate, and Banana Cheesecake Red Bean Dessert with Yam Cubes. And the drinks comes in The Ashitaba, The Topical, The Very Berry, Passion Fruit Calamansi Tea, Yuzu Chamomile Tea, Mint Herbal Tea, Eco-friendly Black Tea, and Eco-friendly Coffee.

Ala-carte also available at your preference ($16.80 per main course, $8.80 each for starter or soup, $7.80 each for salad and $4.80 each for dessert or drink).

For full menu, visit their website at SuFood.com.sg.

It's a nice place to go once or twice, it gets bored with the limited variety of dishes. Hope they add on more dishes or have some changes soon!
